Higher Ed Services Supports Staff Capability
Funding provided through Higher Ed Services Australian Universities Procurement Network has supported university staff to attend courses conducted by the Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office. Manager, Accounts Payable & Supply at CQUniversity, Ann-Maree Roughead, explains that the training has provided an ongoing source of information and reference and the skills and knowledge acquired are transferrable to other aspects of her work as a manager. “These courses were of great benefit to both the University and me personally as a procurement professional,” she said.
After attending the courses, Ann-Maree successfully completed the work-based assessment projects making her eligible for a Diploma in Purchasing & Supply qualification with CIPSA. “These qualifications assist in elevating the professional standing of procurement professionals in the workplace and particularly in the University environment.”
